# Kvants: AI trading-agent platform

Three years as Kvants' engineering partner: the brand site, the KVAI token launch, and the multi-chain investment app, built alongside their in-house team as the product evolved.

## The brief

Kvants AI brings institutional-grade quantitative trading strategies to everyday users. Its founder hired us three years ago to build the public website, and the scope kept growing with the company.

When Kvants launched the KVAI token, we wrote the presale smart contracts and the UI investors bought through, then built the claim and staking portals users interact with. A wrong number on-chain can't be corrected later, so all of it had to be right the first time. After that came the investment app, where users put money into trading strategies non-custodially and can verify performance on-chain instead of taking it on trust.

When the company sharpened its focus around Kvants Studio, their AI trading-agent builder, the brand had to follow, so we rebuilt the main site around the new positioning. Now we build Studio together.

## What we built

- **kvants.ai.** 3 site generations, latest built around Studio
- **Presale smart contracts.** written and tested by us
- **Claim portal.** Merkle-verified, 7 allocation buckets
- **Staking portal.** 5 time-locked pools, 30 to 365 days
- **app.kvants.ai.** non-custodial investing across 3 venues
- **Transparency pages.** check reported performance on-chain
- **Growth systems.** points, tiers, referrals, invite codes
- **Frictionless onboarding.** social login, zero gas, fiat ramp
- **Kvants Studio.** feature work beside their core team

## How it works

Two Next.js frontends, with the app reading the blockchain directly: live Solana account subscriptions, EVM vault reads through protocol SDKs, and CEX performance feeds, three sources that agree on almost nothing, normalized into one portfolio model. Scheduled jobs snapshot live on-chain state into historical time series, so charts show recorded history instead of a number someone typed in. Token claims run on Merkle trees verified on-chain at claim time.

## Stack

- **Frontend:** Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS, GSAP, Framer Motion, Sanity CMS
- **On-chain:** Solana web3 tooling, EVM tooling (viem/wagmi), Solidity, DeFi protocol SDKs, Merkle distributions
- **Backend:** Serverless API, PostgreSQL, Caching layer, Scheduled jobs
- **Access:** Embedded-wallet social login, 7+ native wallets, Sponsored transactions, Fiat on/off ramp

## Numbers

- **2,900+** monthly active users on the platform
- **$15M** valuation at the IDO
- **3y+** of ongoing collaboration
- **3** execution venues unified in one portfolio
- **50+** API endpoints and 12 snapshot jobs
- **90k+** lines of TypeScript across the ecosystem

## The hardest part

Shipping code where a mistake is public and can't be rolled back. The presale contracts and the claim setup meant turning allocation spreadsheets into Merkle trees and multi-year vesting schedules for thousands of wallets, and we simulated and cross-checked everything before deployment because once money moves on-chain there is no fixing it in prod.

The other contender was portfolio accounting. Solana share-based positions, EVM vault NAV and CEX feeds each report value on their own clock with their own conventions, and users can compare our total against the blockchain itself, so the snapshot pipeline had to make three disagreeing sources produce one number and have that number always be right.
